House of (Active) Grace Chapel International was funded by Ato Forson who came to full-time in the ministry in 1997 in Ghana. He went to the school of Miracle Seed in Ghana at Miracle Gospel Center in Kumasi for 2 years. In 2003, he moved to Sweden to continue his theological studies for a year at Livets Ord - Word of Life, Uppsala (Sweden). He also pursued his Master's at the International University of Divinity in the USA and also became a Senior Certified Instructor at the Association of Clergy International (AOCI) - USA. He is now the founder of Grace Bible College in Naples, Italy which offers a diploma of Biblical studies, Christian ministry and a bachelor of ministry.

The Church began on the 5th of November, 2006 at pastor Ato Forson's house in Lago Patria, Giugliano, Italy with 6 people. About a month time the place became small, so it moved to another hall with about 15 congregations. With the help and the grace of God, the number of the members increased to about 50, which needed to be moved from that place also. God provided with another place which could contain about 120 people. So, it worshipped in that place from November 2007 to April 2014. God continued to provide for the church and He has done it again by giving a big place where it worships now.
